Tseshaht Market Food & Gas Bar
The Tseshaht Market is a gas bar/convenience store located on the Tseshaht Reserve. It was opened for business in June of 1979.The “Market” was destroyed by fire in August of that same year but was rebuilt and opened for service again by 1981. The Market was originally a Husky Gas Bar but in 2000 the Tseshaht Market became a Tempo Gas Bar dealer and remains so today.The Market is the last gas station on Sproat Lake Road as one leaves for Tofino.

Equis Forest Products Limited
Equis is a joint venture company between Pat McKay of Franklin Forest Products and the Tseshaht First Nation. It was created to acquire a 15 year non-replaceable forest license in the Cataract Lake area. A forest license is a tenure on Crown Land authorizing timber harvesting rights and includes forestry management, a planned harvest, the actual harvesting, and the replanting/reforesting of the land.

Tseshaht IR Lands
Tseshaht owns 1650 acres of IR Lands containing approximately 153,000 M3 of timber. These lands are managed for recreation, cultural heritage, residential, commercial and forestry purposes. A forest management plan has been prepared with a five-year planned harvest of approximately 40,000 M3 or 25% of the total volume. This plan will provide a revenue base for the Tseshaht people and will ensure the forestland is managed for new growth on a sustainable basis.

Tsemac Manufacturing Ltd.
Tsemac Manufacturing Ltd is wholly owned by the Tseshaht First Nation. The focus for Tsemac was a 75,000 M3 timber sale license for timber harvesting on Tzartus Island. A joint venture between Coulson Forest Products and Tsemac was created to log on Tzartus and remanufacture an equivalent volume of lumber in Coulson’s reman plant.
Tsemac Manufacturing Ltd. has just completed a contract with Weyerhaeuser to helicopter log in the Taylor River area.

Forest Range Agreement
This agreement is a new interim measures agreement between the Province of British Columbia and the Tseshaht First Nation. It includes the opportunity for new tenure and revenue sharing between the Province and Tseshaht. With this agreement Tseshaht receives revenue of $2.3 million and is establishing two additional non-replaceable tenures in the Tree Farm License #44 area with a total harvest of 236,000m3.

Coast Forest Management
Tseshaht First Nation has acquired 30% ownership of Coast Forest Management. Coast Forest Management provides the engineering expertise and planning needed by Tseshaht in the implementation and management of their forestry program on the various licenses they hold. Coast Forest Management was established in 1982 and is the largest First Nations owned Forestry Consultant Company in BC.
